Washington, DC —
The Coalition for Responsible Home Education (CRHE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Josiah Santamaria to its Board of Directors. Santamaria brings extensive experience in the public school system, both inside the classroom and in leadership positions in educator unions. His expertise in traditional school systems will strengthen CRHE’s advocacy and partnerships with other education and child welfare professionals, and strengthen collaborations across support levers for homeschooled children. Santamaria was homeschooled as a child in New Jersey, where he lives with his family now.
We are thrilled to welcome Josiah Santamaria to our Board of Directors,” said Tess Ulrey, CRHE’s executive director. “His professional commitment to education and experience as a homeschool alum will be invaluable assets as we continue to build a homeschool landscape that prioritizes children’s rights, educational opportunity, and safety.”
“I’m looking forward to working with the CRHE and the other Board members as we strive for responsible homeschooling in the ever changing landscape of education,” said Santamaria.
As a member of the Board of Directors, Josiah Santamaria will help guide the organization’s strategic direction and support its efforts to advance research, strengthen partnerships, elevate homeschool alumni voices, and advocate for policies that protect the rights and well-being of homeschooled children.
